Try It Before You Buy It

Hey guys!  Happy Friday!

It’s been…awhile…since I last said hello.  Apologies for the lack of regular posting over here recently, but it’s for a good reason, I promise!  I’ve been busy prepping for the brand-new classes I’ll be teaching for Uplift Studio (formerly Rogue Female Fitness) starting on April 1st!  If you’re in the NYC area and want to come check out the studio and take a class for FREE, sign up online here.  I’d love to see you there.

I also wanted to share with you a cool workout idea I saw on Vital Juice‘s daily email today: the Deck of Cards Workout.  I’m not sure how I’ve never heard of this before, but I love this idea!  Go read up on how to do it – all you need is a deck of cards, and you can use it to get in a great workout at home or in the gym! Definitely give this a try if your workout has been feeling a little stale lately. And if you end up liking this “free” version, then maybe you’ll also want to buy a FitDeck to mix things up even more.

What have you tried and/or bought when it comes to health and fitness lately?  Any fun plans for the weekend?  I’m off to see The Hunger Games tomorrow, and if you are too, may the odds of finding a good seat in the theater be ever in your favor!  :)

  1. That sounds REALLY cool! I don’t think I can watch The Hunger Games. Something about kids killing each other doesn’t sit well with me. I couldn’t even read the books. Lame on my part. Tried anything new fitness-wise….YES! I’ve been a weight training NUT lately. Just posted about the results I’ve seen after two months, too. I’m liking what I see lately.

Let me know how the movie was! My daughter is going to see it tonight with her father….A little daddy-daughter date night!

    • Whoa – I go away for a few weeks and you have a brand new blog?! Guess who’s been too busy to catch up on her blog READING as well as her writing? Whoops. Now I know what I’ll be reading over lunch – looks like you’ve got a lot of new posts up!! I just quickly skimmed over the first one – if you’re looking to add plyometrics to your routine, I think the deck of cards idea (or the plyo FitDeck) would be GREAT for that. Do a set of weights, flip a few cards & do a few plyos in between sets. That would be an awesome way to burn calories & fat during your sessions.

Re: The Hunger Games, I thought I would feel the same way before I read them, but I am a huge sucker for a dystopian society novel.

Thanks for stopping by! Off to catch up on your blog…
